The fleet of Alstom Avelia AGV high-speed trains of Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (NTV), the first private high-speed operator in Europe, has reached 100 million kilometers.
Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (NTV) operates its service under the brand name ‘Italo’ and covers all of Italy by high-speed line, connecting 30 railway stations in 25 Italian cities with 116 daily services. Its fleet comprises Alstom Avelia AGVs and Alstom Avelia Pendolinos. The fleet of 25 Alstom Avelia AGV very-high-speed trains operating in Italy has traveled a total of more than 100 million kilometers since entering service in April 2012. The 11-car Avelia AGV trains, over 200 meters long, run at speeds of 300km/h.
