In June 2017, Bombardier and South Western franchise operators FirstGroup and MTR signed a contract for the delivery of 90 Aventra trainsets. South Western Railway (SWR), which will be operating the fleet, recently unveiled a prototype unit that is being manufactured at Bombardier’s plant in Derby. Let’s have a look:
