On 25.01.2019 a ’91 80 6193 360-5 D-DB’ was seen for the first time – a first locomotive part of the second frame contract signed recently by Siemens and Deutsche Bahn. On 14.02.2019 another one completed a test run: 193 361.
We thank Thomas Girstenbrei and Tim Roux for sharing their pictures with us. This article was originally published on 26.01.2019 – and updated on 19.02.2019 and 27.02.2019 (new pictures added).

When seen for the first time, both locomotives were still white – and of 193 360 we know that it has country specific package type A10 – also known as DE-AT-PL-CZ-SK-HU-RO-NL(-BG). On 24.02 this locomotive was seen leading a coal train from Oberhausen West to München Johanneskirchen:

Siemens and Deutsche Bahn have signed two frame contracts:
- Framework 1 from 2017 – 100 locomotives, 60 delivered, DE-AT-CH-IT-NL package – 193 300-359
- Framework 2 from 2018 – 100 locomotives, 40 on order, configurations not yet disclosed (strategic!)
