49 days later than planned, but next Sunday it will happen – The Dutch branch of Arriva will start a direct regional train connecting Maastricht (NL) with Aachen (DE). Originally it was planned to introduce the hourly service on 09.12.2018 – but technical and political issues are slowing the project down.
