Today, Hitachi Rail Italy and Trenitalia are presenting their first ‘Rock’ EMU. We have a first image of the train outside:
The train you see is a 5-car set – series ETR 521. Hitachi Rail and Trenitalia have signed a frame contract for up to 300 trains. 118 have been ordered up until now by the following regions: Emilia Romagna (39), Veneto (47), Liguria (28) and Toscana (4).
