Most railway operators rely on the use of specific brand colors and styling in liveries, which are consistently applied to their rolling stock for easier brand recognition. But being colorful, unpredictable and bold can become a unique brand voice itself, making a company easily stand out from the crowd. We would like to present you the colorful world of Kladenská dopravní a strojní, or KDS for short. An operator from the Czech Republic that is taking locomotive personalization to the next level.
Based in the city of Kladno, KDS offers a comprehensive set of railway activities such as passenger and freight transport, rolling stock maintenance and leasing, but also a few non-standard services such as railway advertising and a special charter train rental. To deal with them, the colorful operator uses its own varied fleet of locomotives and wagons. And, as you’ll probably notice in the photo review below, each and every one of them has its own personality.
