Have you ever travelled on a train with a sauna? Or one with an escape room? Have you listened to an aria, maybe? Railway entrepreneur Robert Ramstedt’s Reissujuna offers unique, themed rail journeys across Finland, blending travel with curated experiences.
Robert has successfully introduced various themed train journeys, from a Moomin Train to an Opera Train and a Ski Competition Train to a Christmas Train. The themes range from cultural events to scenic routes designed by local tourism operators. Passengers can enjoy nostalgic steam locomotives, stories from the rails, and even local culinary delights in the dining cars. The company continuously develops new concepts, including festival and escape room trains, and tailors exclusive charter trains for corporate clients.
Buying the locomotive – Reissujuna
Robert’s team has the expertise to meet regulatory requirements and handle the paperwork for an operating license; Reissujuna owns 22 beautiful train carriages with an exceptional atmosphere. The operator has found a potential locomotive seller. Now, they are seeking investors who understand the unique aspects of rolling stock and help to make this final step.
The small(er) investors – perfect for us!
Investors who have reviewed Reissujuna’s pitch deck have praised its quality, noting that the product is tested, the team is competent, and the business model is solid. However, due to the nature of the industry, the investments haven’t materialised. As a result, the company is now seeking partners for smaller sums below the usual tens of millions.
Reissujuna has established relationships with numerous event organisers across Finland, but its international agreements hinge on securing credible financing. The team has worked for years to perfect the concept, and early indications suggest that funding may soon be within reach. So far, only private investors from crowdfunding campaigns— those who believe in the concept—have come on board.
“Lapland tourism, everyday experiences of slow travel, meals by master chefs, breathtaking performances—at some point, someone will realise that they can get a slice of this international opportunity at a bargain price,” Robert Ramstedt asserts.
