[CZ] EP Cargo’s Vectron locomotive is a space machine!

Who could have guessed that the interior of this locomotive looked like a space ship? We did not. On 30.07.2016, the one and only Vectron locomotive that is currently property of EP Cargo from the Czech Republic, got a new livery. It features red and blue stickers showing a futuristic interior and large EP Cargo logos.

In December 2015, Siemens made public that it closed a deal with EP Cargo, owner of freight operator LokoTrain and part of EP Holding, for the purchase of one Vectron locomotive. Machine no. 193 823 was officially handed over to EP Cargo at the end of February 2016. At that time, the machine was still white, the standard Siemens trim, and it was kept as such. Only the large Siemens and Vectron logos on each side were removed.

Since then the locomotive is being operated by LokoTrain together with units 193 220, 221 and 222 hired from lease company ELL. All machine are multi system electrics homologated for Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Romania.

Since late February 2016, Siemens 193 823 is property of EP cargo from the Czech Republic. The company announced the acquisition of one Vectron MS back in December 2015. The locomotive is capable of hauling trains in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Romania.
