During the Transport Logistik expo in Munich in 2023, Siemens, FS Italiane Group and its subsidiary TX Logistik signed a 40-locomotive deal. The total order amounts to EUR 300 million. 14 months later, the first machines have entered service. 7193 300 got extra texts, for 303, the operator goes all-in:
The locomotive’s theme translates to ‘treasure hunting’ as finding new locomotive drivers is genuinely a difficult quest these days.
