It is a hopeful message! The VUZ Velim test centre in Czechia has welcomed Alstom TRAXX 3 MS testbed locomotive 188 005 with a modified ‘chassis’ for 200 km/h. Since the introduction of TRAXX in the 00s, a 200 km/h-fast version has always been ‘an option’ but never materialised.
