[FR] The end of a monopoly? About the first tender for regional services in France

The monopoly of SNCF in TER regional train services in France may be over soon. Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) was the first region to publish a tender selecting an operator for approximately one-third of its regional rail passenger service for ten years.        

The Azure Coast region has the premiere, tendering the operation of its TER regional rail services. Interested parties can place a bid until the end of March. The province plans to select the operator(s) for two concessions:
