[DE] TRAXX MS3 electrics enter the German rail network

This week, a new type of locomotive has entered the German rail network for the first time, under its own power. This post shows you Bombardier’s TRAXX MS3 pre-series locomotives 188 004 and 005 performing trial runs, this week, in Wusterwitz and Hennigsdorf.

First we take a look at the test train from 20.03.2019 – running between Wusterwitz and Genthin. 188 004 and 005 came from Hennigsdorf, near Berlin to perform trials with three Twindexx Vario double deck cars:

The images were made in Wusterwitz – at first the 004 pulled the train, than 005 had its turn, and finally, after the 005 changed sides, the machines ran to Genthin, both under power. Meanwhile, Bombardier published images of both electrics in Hennigsdorf for example:
