You may know the Trans Montana locomotives in the blue and orange livery of CER Cargo. And the operator from Hungary also used some paint on several old-skool locomotives, such as series 242 electrics and 740 series diesels. Now a midcab diesel locomtive is joining the fleet.
We are talking about unit 774 714, built in 2016 and previously used as testbed and demonstrator locomotive by its manufacturer, CZ Loko. After being hired to operators such as LTE, PSŽ, SD Kolejová doprava and RCC Slovakia, the machine now found a more permanent home. As of June the six-axle diesel-electric is property of CER Cargo, that can operate the locomotive (theoretically) in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland.
